First Glance
Name : Eleanor Morpeth
Age: 36
Race: Fae
Location: Southern Lowlands of Scotia, Court of Mist
Background: Fairly young widowed noblewoman
Appearance
Play-by: Emmy Rossum
Overall: She is a fairly tall, slim woman with pale skin and an ethereal build. Her eyes are a striking green and she has long, flowing brown hair. Accounts of her beauty are widespread, though frequently exaggerated. While she is certainly easy on the eyes, no honest report would rank her amongst the top ten in the country. Eleanor always looks immaculate, dressing in well-tailored, high-quality robes which manage to be beautiful yet unobtrusive. She always carries herself well and with pride, her posture is excellent. Her hands are white and soft, with long slender fingers.
Personality
Eleanor is a somewhat aloof woman who does not go out of her way to be friendly to others. However, once one becomes close to her, she is actually an incredibly warm person, who will do anything to help her friends. She loves animals and nature, but can't stand immorality. She is also somewhat distasteful towards those that she perceives as being idiotic or uncouth. When she is nervous, she has a habit of staring blankly into space, which can unnerve some people. If offended, she will stare at someone's ear or the top of their head instead of looking them in the eye. At times, she can be found lying on the floor with her eyes closed, contemplating. Occasionally, she will fall into a trance so deep that she is scarcely breathing.
History
Eleanor was born in the Southern Lowlands of Scotia, where she grew up with four sisters, her mother and her father, who was rather shocked at the sudden influx of females; he had been expecting at least one boy from five children! Of the five, two were twins and three triplets. Eleanor had a twin sister, Marion. The other three girls were quite a lot younger, and as a consequence, Eleanor spent most of her time with her twin while she was growing up. When she was fifteen, however, the family was shocked by the death of Marion due to a horrible sudden illness. Eleanor was perhaps the most affected; she retreated into herself and seldom spoke to anyone else. Her remaining sisters being only five years old at the time, they were not as deeply affected, and while her parents were distraught, their relationship with the girl had been nothing like as close as Eleanor's had. Eleanor was never quite the same after this incident; she was never as happy or outgoing as she had been before.
It was when she was twenty that fortune laid its hand on Eleanor's shoulder; a travelling nobleman who was passing through the village happened to meet her in the street and took a liking to her; so much so that when he left some two weeks later, he took her with him as his wife. They lived happily for a number of years until disaster struck once more. In a bizarre twist of fate, he was struck down by the same illness which had killed Eleanor's sister five years before. Not unnaturally, Eleanor was now convinced that the world had ill designs upon her, and refused to leave her room for many weeks. Finally, however, she recovered the courage to venture out into the world once more and maintain her position as a noblewoman in the Court of Mist.
